Quarterly Workshops
The ArtsHERE program supports organizations that demonstrate a commitment to equity within their practices and programming. In addition to monthly cohort sessions and one-on-one consultations, grantees participate in quarterly workshop opportunities to deep dive into specific topics alongside peers from across the country. Through grants and peer learning opportunities, grantees enhance their capacity to sustain meaningful artistic engagement over time.

Quarterly Workshop with Bryan Joseph Lee: Bryan led grantees through a workshop designed to foster facilitated networking and real-time knowledge-sharing across cohorts. They drew on history, community, and expertise to explore creative capacity-building strategies through cooperative economics, sustainability, and outreach. Workshop notes N/A
Ask Us Anything Session: Facilitated by Ruki Neuhold-Ravikumar and Paul Ternes, the group discussed strategies for engaging board members, managing time effectively, and fundraising efforts. They also explored the challenges of hiring a development director and the importance of donor
stewardship.

Organizations encountered distinct challenges when investing in capacity building, especially when scaling efforts toward broader systemic community or cultural change. This session provided an opportunity to explore diverse strategies for capacity building, identify organizational and individual strengths, and learn how to leverage these strengths to create actionable plans for change.

In this workshop, participants:
  • Explored frameworks for scaling efforts from individual projects or products to systemic and cultural transformation.
  • Uncovered their unique strengths and assets, both as individuals and within their organizations.
  • Gained tools and methods for addressing complex challenges using innovative approaches.
  • Learned practical strategies for prioritizing and allocating resources effectively to achieve maximum impact.
  • Three identical workshops were offered throughout the day on December 18, 2024.
